The surfaces we carry
Kitchen Cabinets and Beyond supplies and installs quartz and natural stone across Orange County, and we carry four quartz lines in the Anaheim showroom: Cambria, Q Premium Natural Quartz by MSI, PentalQuartz and Spectrum Quartz. Two of those have pages of their own — Q Premium and the full brand range we stock — because they are what most clients arrive already asking about.
We install countertops, vanity tops, fireplaces, staircases and bar tops. No job is too small or too big for us, and we are licensed, bonded and insured.
Why the showroom matters more here than anywhere else
Cabinetry can be judged from a door sample. Stone cannot. A three-inch chip tells you the colour family and nothing else — not the movement, not the scale of the veining, not how the pattern repeats, and not what happens when a slab that looks calm in a sample turns out to have a dramatic run through the middle of it. On a nine-foot island, that difference is the whole design.
So the useful visit is the one where you see material at size, next to the cabinetry and tile you are choosing it against, under one set of lights. That is the entire argument for the Anaheim showroom, and it is why we resist quoting stone over the phone.
Quartz or natural stone
Engineered quartz is a manufactured surface: consistent slab to slab, heat and stain resistant, and effectively maintenance-free. It is the default answer for a family kitchen and it is what most of our worktops are.
Natural stone — granite, marble, quartzite — has depth and variation that no manufactured product reproduces. It is porous, so it wants sealing and a little care, and no two slabs are the same, which is either the point or the problem depending on the client.
The other real variable is the edge. A square eased edge reads modern; an ogee reads traditional; a mitred apron makes a worktop look substantially thicker than it is. Choosing the edge is choosing the register of the room, and it is worth as much thought as the material.
Templating, seams and installation
Templating happens on site, after the cabinets are set — never off the plan, because the plan does not know that the wall behind the range is out by a half-inch. At that visit we settle seam placement, pattern matching across the seam, cut-outs, and the edge profile. Then the slab is fabricated to the template and installed by our own team, who check the sink and tap fit before leaving.
If you are replacing worktops as part of a wider project, this usually happens between cabinetry and the finishing trades — the sequencing matters, and it is one of the things we manage rather than leave to you.

The showroom carries Cambria, Q Premium by MSI, PentalQuartz and Spectrum Quartz, alongside the cabinetry and tile you are choosing against. Bring a door sample or a cabinet finish if the cabinetry is already decided.
Template on site
We template against the installed cabinets, not against the plan, because the plan does not know that the wall behind the range bows. Templating happens after cabinetry is set and before fabrication starts.
Lay out the slab
Seam placement, pattern matching, cut-outs for the sink and hob, and the edge profile all get decided here. On a figured stone this is the step that determines whether the finished worktop looks considered or arbitrary.
Fabricate
Cut, profiled and finished to the template. Undermount sink cut-outs, drainage grooves and any mitred returns are done at this stage.
Install
Set, levelled, seamed and sealed where the material calls for it, by our own installers. We check the sink and tap fit before we leave rather than after.

What people ask before choosing stone
Which is better, quartz or natural stone?
Neither, and anyone who answers that question without asking about your kitchen is selling. Engineered quartz — Cambria, Q Premium, PentalQuartz, Spectrum — is consistent, heat and stain resistant and needs no sealing, which suits a busy family kitchen. Natural stone has movement and depth that no manufactured surface reproduces, and asks for sealing and a little care in return. Most of our clients choose quartz for kitchens and natural stone where they want a statement.
Can I see a full slab before I decide?
That is exactly what the showroom is for. Sample chips are useful for narrowing a shortlist and actively misleading for making a final choice — they cannot show movement, and they cannot show you how a vein will land across your island.
Do you do more than kitchen worktops?
Yes. We install countertops, vanity tops, fireplaces, staircases, bar tops and window sills. No job is too small or too big, and we are licensed, bonded and insured for all of it.
Can I replace just the countertop and keep my cabinets?
Often, yes, provided the cabinets are sound and level. It is one of the highest-impact changes you can make on its own, and pairing it with cabinet refacing gets you most of the look of a new kitchen without the layout work.
How long does it take?
Templating happens once cabinetry is installed, fabrication typically runs one to two weeks after that depending on material and lead times, and installation is usually a single day for a standard kitchen. Your proposal carries the actual dates.
Do you match the backsplash to the worktop?
We can run the same material up the wall as a full-height slab backsplash, which is a common request and removes the grout line behind the hob entirely. It uses more material, so it is priced explicitly rather than assumed.
